time for some catch up

We've been in and out for days now. On Wednesday afternoon Sean's dad, stepmom, little brother and two little sisters came to stay with us for a couple of nights. It was SO fun to get to see them since we haven't seen them since our wedding, just about three years ago. They live in Tennessee and haven't been able to make it down this way, not even to meet their granddaughter and niece! Well, his dad has made it about two or three times since she's been born but only for a day at a time or so. So that was super fun for them all to finally meet her!

On Friday we met a bunch of family in North Austin for dinner.

On Saturday we drove to North Austin again to go to Sean's uncle and aunt's house. Sean's dad, uncle and two of their friends used to be in a band together back in the day so they had a band reunion/concert in the backyard. It was fun and hot and I'm glad it was only for one evening ;).

Sunday morning we left for Victoria where we stayed until Monday evening. We had a family reunion. It's amazing the amount of people that can start from just one man and one woman. It was lots of fun, BUT super hot because the AC wasn't working right and we were all sweating our butts off.

The drive to Victoria was quite longer than I originally thought. It turned out to be about a three hour drive. Now picture this: the hubby, AK in her big butt of a carseat and me in a Ford Ranger. Continue picturing the carseat so strategically placed in the center of the truck, rear-facing, and taking up most of the room we have. Also picture me sitting on basically half a seat, the seat belt buckle UNDER my butt/leg to keep it from smashing into my hip and slanting the carseat and my legs and back stiff with pain. Yeah, that was the trip, both ways! We commute like this all the time but never on three hour trips so that SUCKED! I'm pretty sure it's time for a bigger car. I don't think another carseat is going to fit. ;-)

Speaking of another carseat, this pregnancy is going well...besides being exhausted ALL THE TIME and moody parts of the time. It doesn't help all that much when you have a toddler following you around the house whining all day. Yeah, she's finally hit that stage and it's making mommy crazy. I'm about to up the anty on what attitude I expect to get from her. This terrible two teeth grinding fussiness just isn't cutting it right now. Where's the spoon??

If you think about it, please pray for provision for our family. Here's a few hints, my hubby HAS to find another job, a house and a new car within the next 7 months. BIG stuff going on around here.

Thanks.
