Our dear sweet Isabelle is measuring about the length of a carrot these days. I'm pretty sure she's a bit "fluffier" than a carrot but whatever.Thursday night, after enjoying some Fazzoli's chicken alfredo and yummy bread sticks, she was giving Mommy some nice kicks. I haven' t been one to eat pasta these days but my hubby REALLY wanted Fazzoli's and since we always go where I want I figured it wouldn't hurt me to suck it up for once. It seems she liked it though.
Things are seemingly running smoothly still....WELL....besides my two year old creating some new sleeping patterns. Too bad I didn't get the memo BEFORE she started this up. She usually wants up about an hour after we initially put her down for the night. Sometimes we let her run off some more energy and sometimes we don't. THEN she wakes up at some point in the middle of the night and since Daddy is usually home and awake at that hour he just tosses her in bed with me until he's ready for bed and then carries her back to her own sleeping quarters. I know we aren't helping here in breaking these habits but it's so much easier right now just to do what's simple and makes everyone happy. Although, I know I'll be kicking myself in approximately 19 weeks when I have another child to tend to. I know I need to crack down soon.
I'm waiting on a phone call from my OB about my appointment with the fetal echo doc. She (the fetal echo doc) usually prefers to do it between 21-22 weeks so I should be getting a call soon with an appointment. It's going to be so interesting to see the inner workings of Izzy's heart (and I pray that all is well with her). Again, this is totally my OB just being overcautious. Since I had a heart murmur as a kid and AK had one that was caused by one of her valves being a tad bit too narrow (she has what I'm hoping to be her last echo in a few weeks) he just wants to make sure this little one doesn't have something going on as well. I'm not sure when they picked up on my murmur but AK's wasn't picked up on until she was about two months old. My OB says the problem was always there even though it wasn't heard for a couple of months so with this fetal echo we'll know BEFORE we can hear the problem. So, I'm thankful he's being "overcautious". BUT, I'm super excited about getting to see her again :). AND of course they'll confirm that she is indeed a little girl. That will be a relief in itself.
I'm happy to be 21 weeks.
P.S. I didn't get around to a belly shot because one, I didn't feel like getting dressed today and two, I've spent entirely too much time playing Bejeweled on Facebook. Ain't no shame in my game ;-)

I hope that your echo goes well. We have to take Aubrey for one in December and I am soooo nervous. How does AK do with them?
Good luck with the sleeping issues. I have no advice to give on that as we have one little girl that somehow always ends up at the end of our bed during the night. I will agree that you will be kicking yourself in 19 weeks though!!! Best wishes!
