3D ULTRASOUND!!!

Today I went for a visit with the fetal cardiologist. This time my mom and Anna-Kate came along. AK wasn't the least bit interested in what was going on. That's what I get for bringing the DVD player as a babysitter. She wouldn't take her eyes off of The Backyardigans even for a second. Even though she was so distracted I can't imagine what we would've done without it. By the end of the appointment she was climbing under and over the chairs and being a typical toddler.

Anyways, the tech did the ultrasound and echo. She said Isabelle weighs around 3 lbs. 10 oz. For some reason I think that's big considering she's almost 4 lbs. and I still have about 9 weeks to go BUT she says it's average so I'll take her word on it. I took a video of some of the ultrasound so I could come home and show the hubby. She showed off by yawning a small yawn followed by the biggest yawn ever and a nice stretch. It was sooo cute. I'll try to upload the video but I know it'll be a whole day process so I'm start after this post.

After she got all the necessary measurements and beats she said it looked like everything was fine. She left to get the doctor just in case she wanted to take a look for herself. She came in about 15 minutes later and DID want to take a look. She got a great look at the heart, way better than the tech had done because Is would not stop moving for ANYTHING! I guess that 15 minutes gave her some time to calm down. Anyways, the doctor said she had the perfect "textbook heart" and everything looked great. Then she said, "lets have some fun shall we!". I was like, "um sure". She grabbed a different ultrasound wand and proceeded to take 8 different 3D pictures of her face. EIGHT! It was sooo exciting. I had no idea she was going to do that. When I was pregnant with AK it was procedure to get a 3D ultrasound at the office I went to but here it costs like $100. I was convinced I'd have to settle on the normal alien looking one BUT NO! I even prayed last night that God would give me an awesome pic of her but He definitely went above and beyond what I considered to be awesome and gave me amazing, breathtaking, priceless!

Okay, enough jibber jabber. Here she is:

In this first picture she has her hand laying up on her forehead. How ADORABLE is that! See?? Her arm on the left side of her face (her right) and her little hand on her forehead?!

She for sure looks like her big sister!

Here is a 3D pic of AK at 22 weeks & 5 days

And here is AK the day after she was born.

What is your opinion? Do you see any resemblance in these two little girls?

And don't forget about the Christmas bow GIVEAWAY. Totally free...mailed right to your mailbox!

Um, I'm totally jealous. My Drs office (a new one I switched to this pregnancy) did a MINIMAL ultrasound. I have TWO, count them...one, TWO...ultrasound pics of this baby.

Such a bummer. I have like, 57 from the twins. Oh well, guess it leaves me hanging a little.

I see the resemblance. Precious, just precious.
