Thank you to those who prayed for him.
It turns out he didn't have pneumonia in his left lung. It's just severely scarred which made it appear to be pneumonia on the xray. He has staph in his blood and they found the "point of entry" that is the host site of the infection. It's behind one of his vertebrae and even on a load of medication it is still spreading. They can't go in and drain it because it's behind his spinal column. They are running tests daily to make sure the staph it hasn't reached his heart and so far it hasn't, Thank God! During all of this they also found out that he has a split disc in another vertebrae. He'll need surgery for that at some point. I think that will make his third back surgery. They put a pic line in today under his armpit so that he can receive antibiotics daily through IV. He will go in daily to receive his medication. This will go on atleast until the first of the year. He isn't out of the hospital yet but should be out by Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
Thank you again for praying. I'll keep you all updated as I learn more.
