it's a long one

Okay, here I am, 49 minutes left of my computer time. Surely I can manage to get some complete thoughts in this time around seeing that my husband is at home with our darling daughter and I have nothing to distract me...except my vibrating cell phone.

I am sad that I cannot upload pictures but I'll get through it. Maybe this weekend when I'm in Waco I can borrow a computer to do such a thing. Yay.

Well, where to start? We have officially been in this town for approximately six days now. I know, six days is it. We moved in on the Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving. Unloaded everything on Wednesday. Celebrated Thanksgiving alone as a threesome because AK work up at 3 AM on Thanksgiving morning with a fever, cough and runny nose. It was sad to see her sick but we seriously had fun staying home. We went to the store and bought us one of those "already-made-chickens", stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls and a super duper yummy pumpkin pie. Of course, I took pictures of this occasion but have none to show you at this time...and honestly, I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to it. Just picture a dining room table with a highchair beside it and two and a half plates full of yummy food and a beautiful ready-to-eat chicken posted up in the middle of the table. Sean sitting in his spot with a thumbs up, AK in her seat and me in mine. If you can picture all of that then there you have it-our thanksgiving picture. :-)

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we drove back to Waco because Sean had to finish his last week at his job. The only reason AK and I went back with him is because she had her 15 month check up with her wonderful pediatrician (20 lbs and 29 in long). Our plans were for AK and I to ride back to our new home when Sean's mom drove through on her way back from Missouri. Well, I didn't want to be away from Sean that long because not only was he finishing up his last week in Waco but he still had to go to Hillsboro for the weekend job. Whoa. So, on Wednesday of last week Sean drove us back home with a truck load full of MORE stuff for me to stash. He left early Thursday morning to go back to work. He then returned on Sunday afternoon with yet ANOTHER truck load of stuff. Seriously, I have no idea how we are fitting all of our stuff in a house that is already fully furnished but it's happening.

I met with my boss on Saturday and we discussed work and such. On Tuesday I met with the lady currently working for her to fill me in on all the things I'll be doing. It took about two hours. Not bad. This job is going to be perfect for me. I'm excited about getting the hang of everything.

Back it up one day, on Monday I drove to Waco to attend a funeral. My stepdad's uncle died in an awful 18-wheeler accident near Crawford. It was so sad. It's weird to think about him being gone. He used to come celebrate every Thanksgiving at my mom and stepdad's house.

On Friday we'll be heading back to Waco for the weekend. AK has a dentist appointment and Sean goes to work on Saturday. We are (hopefully) staying at our good friend's house and I'll probably spend most of Saturday at my mom's house. You know, she just HAS to see her baby girl.

As I stay busy I rarely think about how I don't have the internet...except those times when I need to go to the store and I have NO CLUE about the status of our bank account. We relied on the internet way to much to keep track of that. But, it's with the times I guess.

I must go now. 26 minutes left and a freshly awake toddler waiting at home for me. It was good to be back, even if only for a short time.
