wordful wednesday

Okay, I've completed my wordless wednesday post, now onto a wordful wednesday.

I have been busy busy busy making hair bow after hair bow. I'm addicted. I've never done something that I enjoy so much. I guess I love doing this because I can see the product of my work immediately which spurs me on to do more. Even though my fingers are beyond sore I just can't stop. I bought a pack of 12 clips yesterday and used them all before I went to bed so today I went and bought a box of 100 :). That should last me a while! As I was leaving Sally's with the clips today I was passing by Michael's and I saw a bin in front of the store full of ribbon for a dollar! I only got three because I had a toddler in tow whom was determined to walk around with as many spools of ribbon her little body could hold. One in the mouth and about 6 in the hands. She's so talented :).

Below are some bows from today. I'm seriously considering selling them but I have to figure out just how to go about it. Tell me, what would you pay for them? Should they be singles, pairs or both and let me know if you have any advice. THANKS!

Tia, those are precious! Again, I would sell them two for $5 but that is me. I think people would be more apt to buy two at a time instead of just one you know. Unless you fulfill an order that is custom; like they tell you what they would want.

Great job! Good luck with being able to sell them. You know you may be able to go on a website like Etsy and see if you can get into selling on their blog! I don't know how all that works either but.... it's worth a try. They may even be able to help you in getting started!

Fun! The fluffier, the better, in my opinion! And I agree that $5 is good for two, but I personally would like the option of buying just one if I were buying bows somewhere. Because sometimes, you just need a white bow - or whatever. You could also make bands for baby heads - you know, like Ainsley wears, because she doesn't have enough hair to clip a bow into yet. I really like the stretchy lace ones and the panty hose ones (whatever those are called). White AND cream. I had a hard time finding a cream one for a while. And different sizes - for an itty bitty baby up to a not so itty bitty baby. Online is a good idea. You could also do craft fairs - just an idea. Go for it. I'm all about people making money doing something that they love!
