what's been going on part one

Wow, I have been out of the loop for quite some time now. We have a lot going on and honestly, it has felt very overwhelming to even think about getting it all out so I've been avoiding it. Maybe I should do it in parts? I think I will.

First, AK has been coming up with reoccurring UTI's. This is very frustrating for us and I asked for further testing to be done...which they were leaning towards doing anyways because she's had three or four in the past 4 months. So, on Tuesday, June 1st I am taking her in for a reflux test and a bladder and renal ultrasound.

The reflux test will require some sedation since we have a hard time just seeing the doctor for basic check ups. The girl does not like doctors. I have no idea why. Anyways, after they sedate her they will insert a catheter (you see why she needs sedation now?!) and shoot dye into her body to see if her urine is going from the bladder to the urethra and instead of coming out there's a possibility it could be shooting back up into the bladder where the bladder then releases it to the kidneys which could be a cause of infections. Blah blah blah is what I "heard" when I reread that whole thing...just keep rereading it...it'll make since after a couple times.

The ultrasound is to check to see if everything is "structurally sound".

So yeah, that's next Tuesday.


That's all I can stand to type for now. I'm about to get my girls ready for a water park adventure today :-). I reeeeally need to be going to the post office to mail off THREE things, two of which have been needing to be mailed for atleast three weeks.
