*warning* this post contains many many pictures
Friday night I took AK trick-or-treating with my fam. It was fun and I think my mom enjoyed it more than we did. She takes every opportunity she can to be with "her pretty princess"...which leads me to her "costume". I didn't want to spend money on something she would wear for one night, soooo I pulled out this dress that she's never been able to wear and soon won't fit in and it was close to perfect. I mean, it was a pretty dress...her "pretty princess dress". And of course, no princess is complete without a bow and some cute mary jane socks. I think she looked precious. And one lady totally asked to take a picture of her because she was the "prettiest little thang she's ever seen". Every mom likes to hear that, right?!
She even had a little pink wand that made noises and would light up when it moved. Pretty cute.
AK and I left Saturday morning bound for A. My main intention for going down was to get our bedroom and bathroom painted-it would be one less thing to worry about over the next three weeks. Once there, I soon realized my plans were slowly changing. I started feeling sick and was having major tummy issues. No bueno. All I could do was lay around and hope to feel better soon. Sunday morning came and I still wasn't feeling 100%. My MIL left for church and I stayed home with AK in hopes of putting her down for a nap and getting some rest myself. She totally botched my plans and decided that she wanted to act silly and play instead. I was getting really frustrated when I finally just put her in bed and left her there. She slept for two and a half hours and I dozed on and off on the couch. When the MIL got home I was determined to get working on the room. I had to, it was the whole reason for the trip! I was so glad I did because I'm relieved to say that the room is officially painted! We didn't get to the bathroom but my MIL said she'd take care of it. Whew. Here are the before and afters:

I am so relieved to have this done. Can you imagine going to sleep and waking up in a room that makes you want to claw your eyes out?? Can you say gross! Now you see why I was so desparate to make sure this got done.
On another note, I finally broke down and tried a touch of gel in my little monkey's hair. I think it looked super cute!
whatdoyasay?
While we were "away", AK enjoyed many apples. She loves them.
She also enjoyed chillin out in her "baby" swing. She hasn't sat in this thing in months but as a joke my MIL sat her in it and she liked it. So, we let her swing to her heart's content. It was pretty cute. Does my kid look 14 months old to you??
