the weekend

Here's AK at her grandma's house doing THE finger point I've been trying to capture for a while now.

Giving my sweet girl some sugars

Swimming with Daddy at the hotel

6AM in the morning, watching cartoons, after puking all over the hotel bed...good thing we had another one.

So, AK has been fighting a fever for a couple of days now. She's been sneezing a mega mess and having a runny nose. I wrote it off as allergies and teething. I mean, sounds legit right?! Well, on Saturday we went to Waco and checked into our hotel.

Oh wait, I need to back up a day or two. I took her to McD's on Thursday or Friday to play and she totally had a blow out. I can't remember if I've mentioned that in a previous post or not. It totally looked like teething poop.

Okay, back to Saturday. We had been in our room maybe 5 minutes when she had ANOTHER blow out. All up the back. Amazingly, the shorts were spared but her shirt was beyond re-wear. It was bad. So in the bath she went. After that we tried to lay down for a nap...because it was about that time. Well, AK was totally being CUTE and the nap didn't happen. She was actually TALKING. Saying stuff we've been saying to her for a while now and she just starting busting it out...all on her own. She would pull the covers up over her head and whisper, "hi-hi-hi", which in AK language is, "hide, hide, hide". It was so cute!!! Sean does this with her all the time. They'll both get under the covers and "hide". Then, while I was trying to ignore her she started pulling the covers up and down over her face saying, "p-ta-boo"! OH MY GOSH, I was so excited. She was just laying behind me saying, "p-ta-boo, p-ta-boo". It melted my heart. And then we got up and just headed on over to my mom's, without a nap. We hung out, had dinner and headed back to the hotel to swim. My mom came to watch. So her and I sat pull side while AK swam with daddy. The pool was indoor and heated so that was nice. After that, my mom, AK and I left daddy down to enjoy the hot tub for a little while and we went up to give her her SECOND bath of the day. My mom eventually left and we were in business for bed.

I started feeling quite sick soon after we got in bed. My stomach was hurting so bad. I kept feeling like I needed to throw up but I couldn't allow myself to do such. I hate throwing up. So, I guess for forcing myself to hold it in it decided to come out the other end. AAHHHH. Not good!

THEN Anna-Kate started waking up crying and with fever. It was so pitiful and not ideal! She would wake up about every hour crying in discomfort. Around 6 AM I guess her little body had finally had enough and she threw up on the bed. Niiiice. Good thing it was around the time breakfast was served! I got her to eat some yogurt and cheerios and she seemed to feel so much better. So we all napped from 8AM-12 and it was great to finally get some rest. We got up, gave AK her THIRD bath, packed our things and left for my mom's house for a little while.

At some point she started feeling really bad again and running a fever. We waited around for a little bit and then decided to finally head back home. She was so pitiful looking. She just sat in her carseat, quiet as never before and just starred into space. She eventually fell asleep and when we got home I put her in our bed and she slept for another two hours! She must've needed it! She's still running a fever at this momemt and I'm hoping the vomit doesn't return. We're still trying to decide if she needs to see the doc or not. With her and I having tummy issues at the same exact time I'm assuming it's some stomach bug that'll pass soon. Lets hope.
