We left for the campus around 9:40 and arrived there at 9:51 (yes, I like to be technical). We were feeling a bit nervous but it really wasn't all that bad. We really weren't sure what to expect of the whole thing. We started the meeting out in the director's office and then walked on over to the home we'd actually inhabit if we were to get the job. It was nice to see the space and layout we'd be working with. Anna-Kate had fun exploring the two staircases. After being at the home for well over an hour we headed back to his office to meet with a woman "over" the director-I forget her title. It was good getting to talk to her and express our reasons for wanting such a job.
After talking with her for a little bit the director went and got another house parent mom. It was the mom I told you about a while ago who accepted the job while pregnant, left to have the baby and then came back with a newborn. It was really good AND relieving getting to talk to her and get some questions answered about life there with little ones. It's possible :-).
After that we headed out. We were there for a good 2 hours and 40 minutes just talking to them.
We went and found a fun field to play in the snow. Anna-Kate LOVED the snow. Mainly she wanted to eat it. It was like a big world cup of ice to her. It was pretty funny. I think she would've played in it all day if we would've let her BUT I had to potty really bad so we had to leave. Plus, it was flippin COLD!
From there we went to Wal-Mart so AK and I could both go potty and so we could get some food. Our hotel is like a little apartment. I love it. It has a kitchen and everything that goes in one.
Once we got back to the hotel I made AK lunch. She was SO hungry. She ate five chicken nuggets, two potato smiley face things, two and a half slices of apples, a serving watermelon, some yogurt dip that came with her apples AND a chocolate "nonut" (donut). I was like WHOA girl!
Since then I've been trying to clean up and pack stuff that we won't use before we leave. Of course, I also got our snow pictures on the computer for show and tell :-)
I'm not sure why I've shared all the above. I'm pretty sure I could've left half of it out BUT I want to remember our trip. IF we don't get the job we'll consider this a little family vaca :-).
We don't really have a "feeling" one way or the other on whether or not we're going to get the job BUT we will hopefully know by the end of next week and I'll be sure to tell asap. We had two interesting things happen yesterday that gave us a little hope-just personal encouragements we got from God but I'm apprehensive to share them until we know. SO, you'll get all that when we find out.

Thanks for traveling this road with us so far :-)
