Happy 4th!

Today was a great day! A "blog friend" of mine, Holly, and her family drove all the way from the Ft.Worth area to spend the day with us. It was our first time to meet in person and we really really enjoyed having them. It seems my hubby and her hubby hit it off pretty well...either that or they're great at pretending to like eachother ;-). It was super fun to see the kids playing together. AK loved Peanut. The funniest thing of the day, I think, was when Peanut would get right in AK's face and AK would crack up laughing and take off running and Pea would chase after her. They did this over and over again and I didn't get good enough pictures to document the cuteness of their friendship but I'm really hoping Holly did.

For lunch we all sat around and ate yummy hotdogs.

We didn't dare attempt to battle the heat with fun outdoor activities.

For dinner, we all went to Cheddar's and enjoyed a fairly calm meal. The only uncalm part about it would be AK climbing all over us in the booth and laughing randomly and weirdly outloud at absolutely nothing. Well, it might've been something to her but I haven't figured out what yet.

My pregnant, tired and lame self did not venture out with my solo husband this fourth night. We got home from dinner around 7-they left for home then-and put AK down for a MUCH NEEDED nap in hopes of getting her up to see the fireworks. Well, needless to say, she didn't fall asleep until around 8 or a little after, which is her normal bedtime anyways and WE fell asleep and woke up a little after 9. Only because my mom called. So, Sean rushed to get his shoes on and took off. I so wish we could've all gone together but I'll sacrifice fireworks for the day we had with friends.
