a whoopsy in the poolsy

I sucked it up today and let AK play outside for a while. It was overcast so it wasn't TOO hot but it was way humid and I was still sweating like it was 104 out. Ugh. I hate it. I can't wait for fall...even though around here that doesn't mean that much except tempts under 100 degrees. I'll be so happy.

I finally got a picture of her smiling! My kid smiles ALL THE TIME and she is a super happy kid but she's so darn fast that I can never get her smiling. And it doesn't help that when she sees the camera she darts in the opposite direction and probably with the biggest grin on her face.




She finally got a new bathing suit. It was time. She was wearing one from last year when she turned one. It fit but not comfortably. I found this one on the Wal-Mart website for like $6 or $7 and the shipping was only $.97! I was super happy about that. My favorite part of the suit is the little stitched in flower on the side. See below.

She had lots of fun jumping and splashing the water everywhere. She was just happy to be outside I think.




Then it happened, she pooped in her bathing suit! It was not nice and I was not happy. I mean, afterall, it's my fault because I didn't have a diaper on her but I figured since she was in her own pool that it wouldn't matter all that much. Well, it does matter, especially when they have to go #2 and you have to remove the bathing suit to see what you're working with. Good thing it wasn't like last time. And yes, I did say last time. This happened about a week ago and it was diarrhea. Yeah, you'd think I would've learn my lesson but I figured it couldn't happen to me twice in a row, right?! Good thing this time it was pretty manageable.
