After MUCH research and MUCH talking with my husband we decided that going somewhere overnight wasn't quite in the budget right now. I was super bummed at first but I made him promise me that the two of us WOULD get away for a WEEKEND before this baby comes. Sounds like a good deal eh? I think so. Instead, we'll just do a day out kind of thing. Go see a movie, go to dinner, probably go somewhere pretty and fun. Who knows really. But anywhere but home will be nice.
Anna-Kate has been cracking me up lately. Yesterday her Daddy asked her if she wanted a piece of cheese and she said, "WOO HOO!". It was sooo funny. By the way, she loves cheese. A lot.
Lastnight when we were putting her to bed I said, "oh my" for some reason and she repeated with an, "ooooh my" in the countriest sounding voice. It was hilarious and I laughed.
This morning when I went in to get her up at 9:45, and no this wasn't from her nap this was for the morning, she was saying, "woo hoo. ooh my. woo hoo. ooh my." It was flippin hilarious...to me anyways. I am so thankful that she's a wonderful sleeper and when she's not sleeping she's so great about staying in her bed and talking, looking out the window and doing her own thing until Mommy comes in. She hasn't gotten out of her bed since that nap where she got two spankings in one naptime. Ever since then, a perfect angel :-).
She still LOVES to play, "hi", which is hide (in a whisper mind you). She hides all the time. When it's bed time, when it's time to change her diaper, when she sees a blanket, pillow or anything that seems like it would be fun to hide under.
She still LOVES to play in the water, which for me isn't so great this time of year. I so wish I could take her outside more but it's SO FLIPPIN HOT here! I just haven't been able to brave it the past week or so. I really should though, for the sake of her. I HAVE to find something fun for her to do that's indoors and still releases the same amount of energy as being in the sun. Maybe I should put a heat lamp in her room??? Maybe I'll just take her to McDonald's for the third time this week???
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Until next time, peace out.

Swimsuits in bathtubs work right? Try fun food, too...ACC had their first ever VBS this week and we made some FUN snacks! Like blue Jello in the shape of rectangles-on wither side of a graham cracker forth. Then we used chocolate icing to stand up Teddy Grahams on the GC to be 'Moses parting the Red Sea'..love it! Today we made grilled cheese in 'rock' shapes, but you could just cut the bread with any cookie cutter you have for the same effect! I was super inspired.
Awe! It sounds like Anna-Kate is becoming a silly little girl. I love it when Autumn says something with a country accent, it cracks me up.
Oh, I am liking the sun lamp idea! Let me know if it works :P
